Please find attached all KIS Hockey Teams for 2022.

We are seeking:

  • Coaches for seven teams
  • Goal Keepers
  • Two more players for the Boys Red team

Let Natalie Hewinson know if you can assist in any way, as soon as possible – sports@kamoint.school.nz

Fees: Cost TBC. You will be notified as soon as possible. The fees will be required to be paid in full by the end of term 2.

Training: Day/time TBC when a coach is identified. You will be notified. Training will not start until week 1, term 2.

Uniform: Please DO NOT put any uniform items in the dryer, as it affects the material. Any damage will incur a cost. The aim is to get all uniforms handed out by the end of term 1, all going to plan.

Now that all teams have been named, if your child is no longer playing for KIS, you are required to let the TIC know before April 11. A fee will be invoiced to you otherwise.

Thank you to all players for their efforts at hockey trials, another tough year to decide on teams. We look forward to yet another successful hockey season.

New Zealand Women’s Hockey Team for 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games

Congratulations to those named to the New Zealand Women’s hockey team which includes 5 Northlanders, 4 of which are former Kamo Intermediate students.

Ella Gunson, Samantha Harrison, Madison Doar and Captain Stacey Michelsen, who all attended KIS were named to the squad along with fellow Northlander Brooke Neal. Sam and Madi (who is the youngest in the team at 18) both played for the KIS 1st XI while they were here at Kamo Intermediate.

Well done to all those selected and we look forward to watching you all in the hockey competition (5-14 April) with their first game against Scotland 1.30pm (NZ time) on Tuesday 5 April.
