Yesterday we held our two official end of year prize giving ceremonies.  Both the Sports and Formal Ceremonies were recorded and have been uploaded on our website by the time you receive this update.  We were exceptionally proud of all winners and hope the recipients shared their successes with their whanau members.  The videos will be available for viewing and downloading for the next month, thereafter it will be removed from the website (link to the awards).

Tomorrow, Wednesday, is the last school day of the year for KIS.  We close at 12:00pm.  Buses will be running from this time.  Students are also allowed to wear mufti tomorrow if they’d like to.

2022 sees the start of a new uniform for Kamo Intermediate.  We are having a transition year where the current uniform should be worn by all new students, and can be worn by Y8 students for the 2022.  From the start of 2023 the new uniform will be worn by all KIS students.

We take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank all students, staff and whanau for being so resilient during a pandemic.  The last two years have not been without challenges yet people continue to focus on the positive and be the best they can be.  We have all learned a lot about each other and ourselves.

Farewell to our Y8 students and their whanau.  Remember the great things you achieved while at KIS.  We look forward to following your journey through high school and beyond.

On behalf of the Senior Leadership Team, stay safe during the holiday season – take time to enjoy the wonderful beaches in Te Tai Tokerau, take a break from devices, read a book, and remember, ‘Channel K, All the Way!’
