On Thursday, ten of our enviro students went to White Bait Connections to learn about the interesting world of native seeds, when to harvest them and how to germinate them successfully.

Students learnt many tips which we can’t wait to put into action.  The group has a number of goals this year, which include growing several hundred natives in order to donate them to planting waterways in the Whangarei, Northland region.

We are keen on growing lots of vegetables and making these available in a Pataka Kai near the entrance to the school.

Many thanks to Jordan, for sharing all your wonderful knowledge with us.
