Tena Koutou Katoa

The completion of our second week of term and I continue to be proud of our students who are engaging with learning each day.  Covid-19 may well change the traditional mindset of learning in schools with many students engaging at different times of the day.  I acknowledge all family members who are working hard to make access to learning possible. Thank you.

Small snippets of information are coming through from the Ministry of Education around what Level 2 requirements will be however we have received nothing formal as yet.  We look forward to this coming out early next week so we can make plans for all students to return to school.

We have two new challenges from the STEAM Team coming up this week.

Firstly, we want to see who can make the most original burger.  Guidelines will be on the STEAM (Food) website. We need to give McDonalds some competition!

Secondly, for those who enjoy creating a dance, there will also be a KIS-Tok challenge on the Performance and Dance page.

Details for both will be on the STEAM website by Monday morning.

A fitness challenge is currently being worked on – more details to come early next week!

My previous post welcomed emails from those who have a business that you’d like us to promote. I was thrilled to see one of our students become an entrepreneur.  Grace Farrier has been busy making a fabric bag holder, for small plastic bags we take with us when walking our dogs. Check out her website on www.leashmate.co.nz  Well done Grace.

Enjoy your weekend everyone.
