As you will be well aware, the request from the government is that students continue to learn from home when we move into Alert Level 3. We fully appreciate that some of you will be returning to work and will be unable to make alternate bubble arrangements for your children e.g. expanding your bubble to include other whanau members.
We will continue to teach through distance learning and for others, hard copies of learning activities will be provided if you need more.
Hopefully the government packs have arrived for those who requested them.
Most teachers will continue to teach from home and it is highly likely any students coming to school will be in bubbles outside of their normal class.
Those attending school will remain in their ‘new’ bubble for the duration of Level 3, this is to keep both your child and our staff as safe as possible. There will be no organised sports/PE, library or outside play opportunities during this phase and your child will be required to bring a full drink bottle of water and all food for the day. Depending on the numbers that we have attending, we may need to stagger start and finish times to avoid contact during drop off and pick up to maintain social distancing.
If your child is unwell, they must stay home. To protect both staff and students, parents/ caregivers will be required to collect any student who arrives at school unwell.
We would like each family to inform us of their intention for Level 3 so we can move forward with planning. Accordingly, please complete the following brief survey and submit before Thursday 12 noon.
For those returning to school, we may contact you for, and with, further information. We do need each family to complete this survey. Students arriving at school without notification puts our staff and students at risk.
Let’s all work together now to ensure our lives can return to the new ‘normal’ as soon as possible.
Please ensure you click DONE when complete.
