This is the first step on the pathway for your child to move from primary school to Kamo Intermediate School.

This page outlines the process that we follow. We have found this process ensures all students are able to be placed in a class that will enable them to grow through their exciting times here at Kamo Intermediate School.

Year 6 Timeline

Term 3
Week 3 The first of the promotion days will be on Thursday 9 August. Year 6 students from contributing schools are invited to Kamo Intermediate for a showcase and tour of our school.  The presentations and activities will start at 9:30am and students will leave at 12:00pm.

Students will take home an enrolment/information pack with them.

Week 4 The second of the promotion days will be on Monday 13 August. Year 6 students from contributing schools are invited to Kamo Intermediate for a showcase and tour of our school.  The presentations and activities will start at 9:30am and students will leave at 12:00pm.

Students will take home an enrolment/information pack with them.

On Tuesday 14 August there will be a tour of the school for parents and caregivers starting at 6:00pm.  Following this there will be a meeting in the hall at 6:45pm where there will be presentations from staff and students, and a chance to ask questions.

Week 5 School production – High School Musical Jnr – all welcome to attend (refer to website for further details).
Week 6/7 Enrolments at Kamo Intermediate School (Tuesday 28/8, Wednesday 29/8, Thursday 30/8 and Monday 3/9).  Parents and their child/children will have an enrolment interview at Kamo Intermediate on one of these days.  Please come between 8:00am – 10:00am, or 2:30 – 6:00pm on any of these days. This is a chance for parents and students to discuss individual needs with a Kamo Intermediate staff member.  If your child has needs that require special attention, you will need to meet with Julia Parry (SENCO), Ali Arms or Pamela Abercrombie (DP – Pastoral Care). Parents will need to bring the completed enrolment form, signed cyber safety use agreement form and a copy of the most recent report.
Week 8 All enrolments need to be completed.
 Term 4
Week 1 & 3 Our enrolment team will be talking to teachers at the contributing schools about each child’s special abilities, needs and character, in order for us to place your child in a class that best caters for them.
Week 7 A reminder goes out to contributing schools about our orientation morning on Thursday 6 December 2018.
Week 8  

All Year 6 students enrolled at Kamo Intermediate for 2019 are invited to attend our orientation morning from 11.00 am until 12.30pm on Thursday 6 December 2018, starting and finishing in the hall.

NOTE: Year 6 students MUST BE ENROLLED for 2019 to attend this morning.

Week 1  Students start their Kamo Intermediate experience on Tuesday 29 January 2019.
