MRS GUNSON

This year room 11 has a new teacher. she is called MRS GUNSON and we like her a lot. our last teacher MISS CAMERON had to leave because she had her baby.

This year we went to Waipu for camp. We went for a week and it was really fun. We went sea biscuting , exploring but mainly just activities around the camp. it was funny when one of our year 8's lost their shorts when they went around the corner on the sea biscuit and never found them again!!!

Soccer and Science fair

SOCCER

This year room 11 got into semi final for the soccer plate. Unfortunately we lost against room 9   4-1 "because the sun was in our eyes and the odds were against us"

We need perfect conditions to play perfect soccer.
hopefully our class will play better next year.



Science fair

In  2009 tawa i doing science fair in rotation classes Mr Kini is teaching technology Mrs Gunson is teaching investigations and Mrs Grant is working with the people who aren't doing science fair. Every friday for the next 3 weeks tawa is doing our rotation from 9:00 until 3:00 we will go to our science fair classes and work on our science fair so students don't have to go home and bug their parents during the holidays to go it finished lets hope it works!!!

Science fair

We have finally finished our science fair Fridays and the exhibition in the hall looks awesome. There are boards ranging from mouldy bread  to magnetic sand and prizes will be rewarded next week.The top 20 will go to forum north to compete against other schools.

Lunchtime Netball

Room 11 is now in the semi-finals for interclass netball. In each team there are 7 players:

Mrs Gunson's Birthday

Last Thursday it was Mrs Gunson's 28th birthday we had a shared lunch in class and nearly everyone got her a present. We had a real cruisey day and watched movies instead of doing work. Mrs Gunson got heaps of chocolate and SAYS she has given heaps of it to her husband.

Hockey

For lunchtime hockey Tawa came second over all and Matai came first.

Some people in our class are in the Northland collier hockey teams. The  A team came seventh in Nelson and the development came seventh in Rotorua.
