The Thrashing 3's Are Back!04/04/11Welcome to Thrashing 3's first blog for 2011.
This year we have got off to a great start. We got 2nd place in Tug O War,We were the last team in Scatterball for Kowhai, and so much more like cricket.
When the year 7's first came to Room 3, they were shy and worried and didn't know their class mates, but that changed after camp. The channel k year 8's and the help from Ms Butler turned Room 3 in to one big family!
For this years camp we went to Lonsdale Park. It was awesome.
We had so much fun and tried so many new things. Like surfing and sailing, Burma-Trail,Amazing Race,Talent Quest and learning about the awesome people in Room 3.

Back at KIS for Term 22/05/11In the holidays we had two weeks off and no school!!!!
I Jess, went to the movies, had hockey practice and travelled to Auckland.
This Term at KIS we are all changing specialists. Room 3 is changing from Hard-Materials and Design Tech to Music and Art! Which will be a lot of fun. We have also all changed desk-groups which is good because then we can chat with new people and make some more good, friends.
We are also going to do our beep-test for this term, which will test how fit we are, how well we can actually run.
There is also going to be a lot of KIS hockey and netball playing who will represent KIS which will be very exciting to watch if you want too at Kesington Sports Ground.
There is going to be a lot of things for you to be able to earn stripes for this term
and a lot of fun lunch time sports happening.
It looks like this term is going to be very busy!

Room 3 has had a lot of fun and enjoy learning new things. When they have finished there training sessions with us we should be able to play a full game of AFL.
Reading Comp is coming up and Room 3 is ready to take on the challenge! We have been working on and perfecting our speeches. We have a lot of talented writers in our class that are sure to do well.

On the 16 of June the KIS Stage Challenge group put on an AWESOME performance at school! There was dancing, singing, violin and last but not least was the well prepared Stage Challenge group performing their great show about the life cycle of the long finned eel. Well done to sthe performers it was a great night out!
WATCH OUT everyone, Room 3's Soccer Team is in it to win it and we won't give up! Sadly we lost our first game but with Ms Butler's and our supporters encouragement on our second game we stepped up and took the challenge by winning 3-1 to Room 10 in Tawa!
