It's already week 11, this term has gone so fast and so much has happened!
Nikau B competed in the Scatterball lunch time sports competition. We won all our games and made it to the grand final where we played against Room 15 and won. So Nikau B are the Scatterball Champions for 2011.
Our new Class Reps for 2011 are Mackenzie and Vanessa. We hope we do a good job and hopefully the rest of Nikau B will listen to us!
In week 9 we went to camp at the Farm it was awesome we did horse riding, motorbiking, raft building, archery, kayaking and a whole lot more.
It was an awesome camp we didn't want to leave!

This term in Nikau we are having a super fun time.
Right now we are doing our Reading Comp. 3 Yr 7s and 3 Yr 8s get chosen out of the Nikau classes and then read out loud to the syndicate, scary!
Our topic this term is a matter of molecules NC is doing cooking and baking , and NA is doing fizzing and foaming.
At the start of term 3 we are having our super fun and exciting science fair! all of us has to do it and its healed in the hall. It sounds to be real fun! So as it sounds this term is awesome.

WOW, hasn't this term gone fast we're already in week 4!!
Its been really busy around school this term there's been things going on like 4 Square for lunch time sports, Reading Competition and soon Goal Shooting doesn't it all sound so FUN!!
There is more things happening soon like ......the Aladdin show at Kamo High School the i-CAS exams which sounds like a challenge but also very FUN!!
The Reading Competition has gone well so far the finalist from Nikau are Laura (yr8) and Geneva (yr7), keep trying until you reach the top girls!!!

WOW we are already in the middle of term 2 !! Winter sports has just been and it was awesome the sports you could play where … hockey, netball, soccer, ripper rugby, rugby, basketball and table tennis. All the sports sound awesome and I'm sure everyone had a great time.
Also we had the Goal Shooting relays. We did really well in Goal Shooting and it was awesome!! The results were…. Nikau B won the championship, the Nikau X team came 2nd in the plate final GO NIKAU!!
We are all working hard to do our science experiments!! We have our science fair at the start of term 3 so start working!!
And remember …… CHANNEL K ALL THE WAY!!!!!!

NB's 5th Blog27.6.11Its already week 9, 3 weeks to got to end of term yay! But before we have a break from school we've got to have our science fair finished ready for the science fair in week 1 in term three. Science fair is a competition when we chose a science subject which we work on for 5 weeks including the holidays. Then we make it look nice on the board ready for science fair.
Nikau B won the plate final in soccer we did really well in the finals we won against room 7 -1- 0

Hello hasn't this term gone fast ! were already in the last week. We cant wait till holidays what are you going to do?this week we are doing netball today Nikau B vs Room 6 , GO NIKAU! hopefully Nikau will win.
Last week we had the final of the reading comp , 2nd place- Laura from Nikau :) 1st place- Vanamali, well done to all the people who participated in this.
Last Sunday the reps hockey trials, hope some of the KIS students get in.On Thursday the social is on, it sounds like super FUN :)

Nikau B's 7th Blog8/08/11Nikau vs Rimu in debating, we were tied until the end..... the judge had to go with his gut decision but he chose RIMU because of their presentation.
Cross country is coming up fast, its on the 19th of August, get up and practice!
The order is yr7 girls, yr8 boys, yr7 boys, yr8 girls .
Life education trust is starting this term and we are going to learn new and interesting things ,we have not started it yet we start in week 5 .

Last week was the Language Festival. There were heaps of different languages like French , Mandarin ,Japanese , Maori , Spanish. The Language Fest was really interesting and i'm sure everyone had a great time.
Bernina Fashion Awards was a great success for Kamo Intermediate. They had one person in nearly every category win something. Everyone had a awesome time and they were all great on the catwalk .The night was held at the Thirty3 Event Centre. The Overall winner of the Bernina Fashion Awards won a ticket to go to WOW (world of wearable art ) in Wellington. Unfortunately know one from Kamo Intermediate won the overall prize, but oh well we tried our hardest and did very well.

Wow so much has happened in the last couple of weeks we have started speeches, and we are starting athletics this afternoon exciting!
Last week the Vanuatu group 1 went to Vanuatu. It was awesome we had so much fun we visited two schools the kids are very friendly they sang to us then we sang back to them they are really good singers. We got our hair braided, we went on sliding rocks, we went snorkeling ( the fish and reef are amazing!) and we did so much more! we learnt so much.
Intensive's are coming up in week two of term 4 they are lots of fun it will be very exciting!

Nikau Bs 10th Blog08/11/2011
Last week was intensives there were so many choices and what ever we got or where ever we went was great! We had three days of fun ,excitement and an adrenaline rush!
Some of the choices were... Animal survival ,Chocolate lovers , Adventure forest, sailing , paintball, motor-biking,horse riding ,screen printing and heaps more!
We have already started our athletics training the events are- Discus, shot put, High jump ,long jump and sprints we have sprints in 100 meters 200 meters and 800 meters .Good luck to all the people having a go in the events.
We had our own mini world cup at schoolwe did tabloids lunch time sports and other competitions .
