This years Room 6 camp was at Tangihua Lodge. It was a bush camp and we did lots of bushy sorts of things.

Day1 we did bush rotations and that we did the Burma Trail It was  really scary. Sarah almost leapt into Keriras arms.

Day2 Mr Kivell came out for the day  and set up the bush Olympics we also mission impossible that day was really fun.

Day 3 we went out to the Waipu caves. We went caving and abseiling. We also did A. B. L.   and stretcher making. There was also an icy cold  cave swim brrrrrrrrrrrr. That night we did Tangihua Idol and camp skits. Keriras and Ellie won the idol with there amazing dance. The campsites had everyone laughing their heads off.

Day 4. We did animal survival in the bush then we all said goodbye to Tangihua Lodge and went back to school .

Extension Awareness

9th June

'Wordsmiths'. If you don't know what that is ,it's where Kamo intermediate's most talented writers get together and well WRITE!! As you all know Sarah and I are just sooo talented that were in it!! It's taught by Mrs Lloyd and so far we have had so much fun!! So if your a year 7 who absolutely loves writing , keep up your game and you may just be able to get a recommendation next year.

'French' Also taught by Mrs Lloyd,  [as I've been told by Sarah] this is an awesome and totally worthwhile extension. Sarah is a student who takes these lessons and you know you want to learn one of the five 'love languages' of course you'd have to wait until next year... But HEY!! It's worth the wait!!

'Spanish' well it's pretty much like French, except: It's a totally different {better} language!! GO SPAIN/SOUTH AMERICA!!!

Monday 9th August 2010

                                         SCIENCE FAIR!!!

K.I.S has been working on science fair projects for the majority of term 2 and most of the students who go to K.I.S. have been working on them. There were 231 projects.

65 of them were investigation projects, 18 were technology and 148 action research projects. Duncan from our class is going to Forum North for the Regional Science Fair.

                                              LANGUAGE FESTIVAL

At K.I.S we teach Japanese, French, Spanish and there is also a Kapa Haka group. So on Wednesday the 4th and Thursday the 5th of August, we had a Language Festival in the hall. There were four  corners set up for each language.

We had a International lunch where we sold crepes, sushi, fried bread with mince and also the Japanese okonomiyaki.

Since I am learning French, I was one the teachers. I taught them the numbers from 1 to 5, the colours in French and also the foods. It was really fun and I hope that lots of people had lots if fun.
