We also have new Class Reps- Caleb and Mikayla and Deputy Class Reps- Bella and Elish. We also have new year 7s from heaps of different primary schools.

THE READING COMP!!!

 Hi today we are going to write about the READING  COMP!!!!!!!!!!!
The year 8s that got into the syndicate finals were... Bella and Mikayla, And for the year 7s are, Toria and Vanamali. The year 8 that represented MATAI for the school final was... Austyn from room 8 and came in the top 5 and the year 7s reading comp is today on the 4th of may!

WINTER SPORTS!!!

Hi again, last week we had winter sports and it was a hit. Great fun all around.

There was soccer, hockey, rugby, ripper rugby, netball, league and basketball.It was all really exciting, even when you weren't playing! Because watching all the other games provided plenty of entertainment. In our class we were mixed between all of the sports but by far soccer was definitely the most popular. All together there were sixteen teams!

Hi, we're back with more news,
Our school is having our own soccer world school cup! And we are...(DA- DA- NA- DA!) ALGERIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our team consists of
Mikayla,Natasha,Bailey,Dante
And our subs are: Toria,Elish,Caleb,Levi And our coach is: Bella
And our mascot is: Thomas the Algerian fennec fox

We have already had our 1st game:
ALGERIA vs CAMEROON.
We won 6-5. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

last blog for term 2

It was a sad day when we got knocked out of the soccer, and we won 1 out of 3 games, but we are going to make it up to Matai by winning the championship sheild  for netball!!! The people that are in our team are: Keisha, Thomas, Vanamali, Nathan, Bella, Elish, and Shanice.

We are also having Roadshow auditions, and that includes: Dances, Musicians, Bands, Variety acts, and singing, and we will key you up on that next term.

Science Fair

Hi were back with more epic Room 9 news!

We have had the results for the 2010 SCIENCE FAIR at KIS.
 
In the year-8 Investigation section, Mikayla came 1st and Bella came 3rd. Ruby came 2nd in yr 8 Technology and Toria and Shanice came 2nd in yr 7 investigation.

Toria, Shanice, Mikayla, Bella, and Ruby will all be going to forum north for the regionals in science fair.

Hi were back with more news!!!
Room 9 have had some science fair entries that were successful the Central Northland Science and Technology Fair 2010:
    Mikayla - outstanding laboratory or experimental techniques, health and wellness award, and class award investigation year 8.
Chiara- public health award.
Toria & Shanice- Royal forest and bird award and very highly commended in year 7 investigation.
