From our class this year we had Dayna for the year 8's and Ella for the year 7's. They both did very well. At the syndicate finals Madisen won the year 8's and was chosen to represent Rimu in the school finals in the end Madisen went on to win out of the whole school so that was great for Rimu!!!
When it came to the year 7's syndicate finals Rebecca won again from 18. She also represented Rimu at the school finals and took victory. So room 18 won both the year 7's and year 8's reading comp for 2010!!!

Super 16's Ninth blog 23/6/10Assemblies
At KIS we have Assemblies every Wednesday. It goes from 12:00-12:30.
Each time there is a different class running it. We have all the weekly news and events and sometimes we even have people sing or dance.
At the start of every assembly everyone sings the National Anthem or the School Song. Assemblies are good because you get to know whats going on all around the school.

Intensives
In week 3 of term 4 we had Intensives 2010. While some people went overseas, we had Intensives which are 3 days of activities filled with enjoyment and wickedness. You chose 9 activities out of 42 and get selected to do 3, one on each day of intensives. There are 2 exceptions to this (three day choices). Intensives are activities that you wouldn't normally get the chance to do, like…
- Horse Riding
- Chocolate Lovers (making chocolate)
- Murals (painting murals for the school)
- Surfing
- Bush Wacka
- Animal Survival
and many more.
