Room 17's teacher Mr B and our super cool Class Reps Rachael & Ben!! Deputy Class Reps Mary & Emily!!
We won the Tug'o'War CHAMPIONSHIP! and the Scatterball Plate!! In term 1 we had camp at Matapouri!! We also went to the Poor Knights during camp.

Room 17z 2nd Blog11/5/10
Syndicate Cricket was won by Rimu overall, Rimu year 7 boys but Tawa somehow managed to win the girls cricket flukishly.
Lunchtime Sport Soccer is over after our devastating loss in the Semi Finals.
Although syndicate hockey is coming up and we have all the best players in Rimu,so all you other syndicates are going to get beaten!

Rimu won both the year 7 & year 8 reading comp! The year 7 winner was Rebeca from Room 18 and the year 8 winner was Madisen from Room 18 also.
Hockey is going well, our hockey boys still remain undefeatable! Although the year 8 girls haven't been going that well.

Room 17z 4th blog8/6/10
Winter sports was on Friday 28th of May. It went well and was heaps of fun.Lots of people were there. There were lots of sports to play including rugby league, rugby union, soccer, ripper rugby, hockey, netball and basketball.
It was also Hug a Ginga day on that Friday so Tsehai & Hayley got lots of hugs.
The Soccer World Cup is coming up. Our class is Chile. Our class is going to win!

R17z 5th blog22/6/10The soccer World Cup has kicked off & our class won all of our 2 games, the first game we beat Ivory Coast 4/3 and the second game we beat Mexico 3/2.
The goal shooting finished yesterday, Our class came 4th in Rimu and 2nd out of the 4th place teams.

Room 17z 6th blog26/7/10
Term 3 has started.Rimu is still winning in syndicate points though obviously.The netball finals are on today.Our class got knocked out in the second round!
Syndicate rugby and syndicate ripper rugby are both starting soon.Rimu is going to win.
Science fair has finished but no one in our class made it to the regional science fair! All our classes science fairs were about discrimination.
Its also maori language week this week.

R17z 7th Blog9/8/10
Rugby & Ripper Rugby have both started. Rimu has drawn 1 rugby game and lost 2. The Rimu boys Ripper rugby team has won all of their games so far.
Cross Country is coming up on the 19th of August. Rimu is training hard and are going to win.
The Language Fest finished last week.It was cool. We made ninja stars with the Japanese extension people!
Speeches are also coming up.

R17 Blog 825/810
Cross Country was last Thursday (the 19th). Rimu did really well, Ella from room 16 came first in the Year 7 Girls and many other fast runners from Rimu follow not far behind her. There was a great result of people who came to support the runners!.
Speeches are getting closer and closer! So everyone is starting to prepare for that. Rimu is going to win!!!
The Overseas trips are coming up soon. The first group to go are the Vanuatu group! so have fun in Vanuatu !

room 17z 9th blog13/9/10Class speeches have started.it is very boring and nerve-racking when you present it.
The roadshow is coming soon.No one in our class is in it but is going to be good!

Room 17z 10th blog12/10/10
Term 4 has started.
Capture the flag is starting on Thursday.We are going to win. Volleyball finished last term. Our class was the plate runner-up.
The Vanuatu group is back.The Fiji and Samoa groups are leaving soon.No-one in our class is in either of them.
Class speeches are over. Mary and Tyrone had a speech off.Mary won and is going to represent our class in the year 8 syndicate finals tomorrow and Jordan is representing our class in the year 7 syndicate final next week.
Intensives is also coming up in week 3.Its going to be fun.

Room 17z 11th blog2/11/10
Capture the flag started a few weeks ago. We won our first game and remain undefeated!
Intensives were last week. They were awesome. I did animal survival, adventure forest and Kensington sport experience. Emily did animal survival, photo mania and bread making.
The speech finals have finished. Teagan from room 16 represented Rimu for year 8 and Rebecca from room 18 represented Rimu for year 7 but neither won first or second.
Athletics is coming up soon. Rimu has been training hard and is going to win.

Room 17z 12th blog16/11/10Athletics has started.Rimu is doing well in both the track events (e.g. sprints) and the field events (e.g. discus).
Our class did well in the class relay we came 5th out of 20.
Our class is going on a class trip to Tawharenui in a couple of weeks. It will be awesome!
Capture the flag is over. Our class made it into the finals against Room 8. Sadly we lost.
