Acitivty Week 2010

Our teacher is Miss Roberts, our class reps are Sharnae and Rachel
This year instead of camp we did activity week. On the first day of activity week we went to the pools for the day and snorkelled and did life safety.
On the 2nd day we went to adventure forest & kayaking and it was very exiting. On Wednesday we just had a slack day at school.
But on Thursday we went to the beach for the day and surfed at sandy bay it was so awesome.
So overall we had so much fun!

Room2's Kayaking & Forest Adventure!!!!!

During Room 2's Activity week last term, We were split into two groups. Me and Kelsey were In the morning session. Which means we did Kayaking first.

We buddied up, Kelsey buddied up with Mrs. Drake, (no relation to Kelsey.) and, i buddied up with Leah.
 
It was really Thrilling and Tiring at the same time!! Kelsey loved going under the mangrove tree's. It was like going through tunnels!! Me and Leah had a rocky start, But soon, we got the hang of it, And it was smooth sailing from then.

After 3 hours of rowing, we finally reached the finish!! From there, We were taken to Adventure forest.  We were strapped into harnesses And got  taught safety guidelines before we could start. Kelsey was very enthusiastic, And made it right to the very last course!! Of, course, I got totally petrified, And chickened out halfway.

 It was really awesome going on the flying fox's!! Each obstacle was thrilling, and was pumping adrenaline through our bodies. We had a great time, and can't wait to do it again sometime soon!!!! :))

Room 2's Soccer Competition

Recently we had 2 very exiting games of soccer. First we played Room 10 and…  WON!! By 4 nil . But by the 2nd game, when we versed Room 17 we unfortunately lost, by one point in a penalty shoot out.

But even though we lost we were still glad that we did out best and that Room 5 won the championship and Room 7 won the plate, and congrats to kowhai. But now we know for sure Kowhai is going to win the hockey!!!!!!!!

Room 2's Fantastic Blog!!

Hey!! It's been really full on since we last blogged. We've had our reading comp, we've been finishing our body topic study, and we've even had mufti on thursiday!!

Lunchtime sports have started, and this time its hockey. Kowhai, has been geared up with their hockey gear, and an winning attitude.  The yr. 8 girls won, 5-0 facing Nikau..GO KOWHAI!! Sadly, the weather has been taunting us, and hockey has been postponed due to the weather.

Never mind though, When Kowhai gets out there again, we are going to win!!!!!!!

Good to be back happy b-day to the Queen! And happy birthday to Rama, in like 30 days Wohoo!

Week 7 now, holidays are near! Me and Rama are soooo excited : ]

Our class has been scattered glass lately.We have people out all the time at extensions like Webslingers and people practicing Roadshow auditions. Poor Mrs Roberts! How does she cope with us all?

Specialists are rocking! We are doing Art and Music.

Congratulations to the people who got those stripes at Syndicate assembly.

GO ALL WHITES!

Hellooooo Universe!!! Before i get started i Have to say, GO ALL WHITES!!!!!! WOHOO!!

Everyone is feeling the success of the All Whites triumphant tie against the World cup champions, ITALY!  speaking of soccer, Kamo Intermediate is holding a mini, FIFA soccer world cup game.

Each class represents a country. Room 2, is PARAGUAY. We have tied once, won once, and lost twice. Each game was fair and fun. We cant wait to play again!!

Also..... SOCIAL NEXT THURSDAY!! woo! yay!! I cant wait to   p-a-r-t-a-e!
And...... mufti on the same day!!

The term is getting closer, and closer to the holidays, which means i'm getting closer and closer to my (Rama) 13th BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roadshow dance auditions today! Good luck to all the dancers trying out!!!

Bernina Fashion Awards

Hey everyone, today we are going to talk about the Bernina Fashion Awards, which took place on the 12th of August.

This year a lot, and I mean a lot of people entered from Kamo Intermediate we had a total of 48 students including two people in our class, Jess and I.

The categories we were involved in, Trash To Fashion, Student Wearable Art, Fantasiwear, Masks, and many more.

The category I entered was Trash to fashion, unfortunately I didn’t win anything but, Madison and Maria in room 18 won prizes in that category including a lot of high school girls, So congratulations to you all! Also congratulations to all students that took part. So to finish off this blog, Heres a picture of a sideways ninja…. QK cool as aye!

Term 4 has begun

Hey cyber world today our blog is going to be about the up coming event this term and the….

                             THE ROADSHOW

The Roadshow took place last term on the last 2 weeks. This year the Roadshow included, singers, dancers, musicians, shows and loads of entertainment! Thanks to all of you guys for putting on such a great show! Especially from Room 2 Class Rep Rachel to help in the Roadshow , Cynthia & Jennifer for doing  a cool as skit performance so good on everyone who preformened at the Roadshow.

Also this term we are going to have Intensives! We get 34 activities to choose from, these include, surfing, photography, motobiking, badminton, chocolate lovers, bread making, mountain biking and much more! Out of the 34 we get to do 3.

And just before intensives we have our speech final for year 7 & year 8 students so
Next Wednesday at assembly is going to be the year 8 speech final and on the following Friday is the year 7 speech final.

Intensives

1ST NOVEMBER 2010

Welcome to the fourth week of term 4, The first day of November. it's Almost Christmas!! Unfortunately, the end of the year is near.

On the bright side, last week was intensives.
That is were we are given at least 30 options of activities to choose from.
There are one day activities, and three days activities.

I (Kelsey) did Motorbiking for girls only on the first day, which was really cool.
We went motorbiking at "The Farm" which is a popular spot for class trips at the beginning of the year. I was the fastest in the group because i would put my accelerator
on for a very long time, which meant i fell off my motorbike at the top of a hill. I definitely recommend not to go fast up hills.

There were races and other extra activities we could do with our bikes too.
I did Surfing on the second day, which was really fun and exhilarating.

On the last day,I suffered from sunstroke, (from the previous day) and had to stay home.

Its Sharnae and Kelsey here, as to the absence of Rama…. again, well not really Rama is here but is at japanese. Anyway finally Kelsey and i have united and this is our awesome blog (:

At the moment Kowhai is studying Marine reserves. We get to study our own marine animals and visit  marine reserves. So far Kelsey is making a papé machaé Giant squid and i am doing a slideshow about the deep sea Anglerfish.

Kia Ora and goodbye cyber world for 2010,
We are really going to miss you, even though Kelsey is going to be here next year she is still going to miss you.But for Rama and I are never coming back and will never forget the time we spent KIS p.s KOWHAI ROX. Next year Rama is going to Whangarei girls high school and i will be going to Kamo high school!!!!

Also i would like to say something before i hand the keyboard over to kelsey, and it is…. MERRY CHRISTMAS! ho ho ho!! i cannot wait!  IM REALLY GOING TO MISS YOU GUYS!! XOxoXO Sharnae…..
