The SPECIALIST SYNDICATE provides children at the school with a wider range of activities and experiences than would be available to them in the traditional non-specialist teaching practice.
They provide a core of subjects being "Food and Bio Technology (Nutrition), Textile and Design (Soft Materials), Design Tech, Hard Materials, Information & Communication Technology (Computers), Art, Music and Manaaki Tia (Maori)" as well as extension classes such as Boatbuilding (Advanced Woodwork), Mural making, making and maintaining homepages on the worldwide web, Kapa Haka and many varied and exciting programs
