(TONGAN TEAM VISIT GALLERY BELOW)

We were very fortunate that during the RWC, Whangarei had 2 games at the Northland Event Centre (Okara Park). Tonga vs Canada on Wednesday 14th September and Tonga vs Japan on Wednesday 21st September.

Whangarei really got into the spirit with our "Paint It Red" for the teams playing up here. The great thing was that the teams involved visited schools, communities and were seen around the towns they were playing.

We were very lucky (thanks to former K.I.S teacher Adrienne Battersby) that some of the Tongan team came to visit us. Team Captain Finau Maka, Thomas Palu, Alaska Taufa and William Helu. Room 3 who were Tonga for our school RWC competition, hosted them and got to ask them questions and then hang out and play some games. Thanks to the Tongan team, management and players for coming and spending some time with us. TE PAI KE!!!
