WINTER SPORTS DAY

This annual event is always a highlight for the kids and apparently as I have been told, a lot more fun then maths!?!?
The Intermediate schools from around Whangarei; Us, Whangarei Intermediate, Tikipunga High, Huanui College, Tauraroa Area School, Pompallier College, Manaia View, Parua Bay, Excelsior School and Matarau all meet at Kensington Park to enjoy a day of fun activities.
The Intermediate student population got to pick between 7 different sports of the "winter" persuasion: Basketball, Hockey, Netball, Rugby, Ripper Rugby, Soccer and Table Tennis. We do try to encourage the kids to try a sport they haven't played before, but usually they want to hang with their mates.
A very big thank you to all the organizers, volunteers, parent helpers and of course the teachers for all their help, we hope to see you all again next year.
