WE CAME SECOND!!!


This year we entered the Whangarei Stage Challenge & J-Rock competition taking part at Forum North on Friday 24th of June.

We were competing in the Open Division against Bream Bay College, Dargaville High School, Kamo High School, Pompallier Catholic College, Whangarei Boys and Whangarei Girls High Schools. Hikurangi School were competing in the J-Rock Division.

The theme for our Stage Challenge was "Nga Taonga Tuku Iho Te Tuna" (Protect The Longfin Eel). To compete against the older more experienced teams, and to capture the audience, we used black light for illumination (which we're very good at) and a totally NZ Maori soundtrack.

Congratulation to Whangarei Girls High School for winning. We are so proud of our second placing and have to also congratulate Dargaville High for placing third. Thanks so much to all the other schools who were very supportive to us (especially our former students now at Kamo High and Whangarei Boys & Girls).
