Welcome to the 20ten webslingers for rm 14. Your webslingers for this year areCaitlin and Ethan, the new year 7!
We still have the best teacher in the school Mr Kini! Our class reps are the wacky Ryan and the fantastic Caitlin.

Last year we won the scatterball, and this year we came so close, we versed Rm 3 in the finals and they just bet us):
Soccer is coming up, and it looks like we will have a pretty strong team.

ROOM 14 WEBSLINGERS

Today its just me Ethan but I still got someone else to work with today and that's Bailey

A few weeks ago our class soccer team went into the comp with a great win against     
Room 4 from Kowhai we won 2-1 in a thrilling match Tiaki scored the goals in replacement of Ryan. The next game we played was a bit of a failure, we lost 3-1 to Room 18 in Rimu they played a pretty good game but we weren't as good as them on the day.

Chloe G from our class competed in the finals of the year 8 reading comp. She did a great job, but missed out.

3rd Blog 4 20TEN

Hello people its just Ethan here because Caitlin's at a camp somewhere.

Hockey started a few weeks ago and all our teams are strong.

Science fair is coming up soon and i am doing mine with Jamie were doing taste without smell and I think Caitlin's doing an inquiry about chocolate.
   
We have started our new specialists and we have hard materials and tech drawing that takes lots and LOTS! of skill.

It's been raining a lot over the past few weeks so we have been watching lots of movies it has not been fun.

Winter Sports(:

08/06/10

Winter Sports has been and gone. The sports were: Hockey, Netball, Rugby, Rippa Rugby, Rugby League, Soccer and Basketball.

Ethan played Rugby League, and Caitlin played Rippa Rugby(:
Caitlin had a mainly all girls team with 2 boys, but still won 4 out of 8 games, and she scored 2 tries!! She was very proud of herself.

Ethan had an all boys team but still won 7 out of 8 games, and he also scored 2 tries(: And he was also very proud of himself.

Most of the teachers participated in helping out with the organizing of the sports, so a HUGE big thank-you to the teachers.

Goal shooting relay

22-6-10

During last week, the whole school competed in the goal shooting relay.

At first we had the ranking relays throughout the syndicate, Room 14 came 1st, Room 11 came 2nd, Team X came 3rd, and Room 10 came last):
But that was only the ranking.

In the whole school one…
Room14 came 2nd in the championship, Room 11 came 1st in the plate, Team X came 2nd in the 3rd ranking, and Room 10 came 3rd in the 4th ranking.

All up Tawa thinks we did pretty well, hopefully we beat Rimu though, thats our number one goal.

Language fest

Language Fest.

Kiaora, Hola, Bonjour, Konnichiwa.

Language festival is here, or was here on Wednesday and Thursday of last week(:
It was awesomely awesome!. We learnt about all different kinds of languages like Spanish,  French, Maori, and Japanese. I (Caitlin) learnt heaps of different things, like all the colors in the french language, and I even made some origami:L
I (Ethan) loved the games that we played to teach us all the languages I made a paper crane with the origami guys.

KIS Roadshow

11.10.10

Last term we had the KIS Roadshow. Chloe G performed a group dance, Caitlin and Ethan who were meant to be MC's but were both unavailable so Ethan was a roadie and Caitlin was the stage manager.

In the finale for the Roadshow, the teachers performed a dance to Katy Perrys' California Gurlz. Mr Kini dressed up as a chick and wore heaps of make-up and a dress XD.

All round it was an awesome show put together by Tawa's own Mrs Procter, Mr Hughes, and Mr Witten.

Intensives Blog

2/11/10

Intensives were last week and they were awesome. 

Me (Ethan) did bike riding on Wednesday, tapa cloth on thursday , and animal survival on friday. And Gabe (because Caitlin is not here again!) did Bush wacka , then on thursday Badminton with miss Morgan, and last of all gadgets with Mr. Witten. 

Intensives was a very fun  time for the whole school enjoyed it (we think?) but it was fun for us  and we cant wait until next year

-Field Events

Field events are coming up and Tawa are looking forward to it because we are going to own them (especially  Rimu!)
