This term in Room 11 we have the amazing Mr Ridling as our teacher, while Mrs Procter is on holiday in the Middle East JEALOUS!!! Mr Ridling has been teaching us about ANZAC's and the wars.
We also have amazing Class Reps Chloe and Chip, that help us a lot in class.
The TAWA Girls won the Championship Finals for Cricket!!! Soccer is coming up and Tawa is ready to win . . . and

Camp and Specialists 201012.05.2010
Hi its Tyler here
Last term we went to camp at Tutukaka holiday park. We had so much fun. We went snorkeling at the Poor Knights with the fisheys. We also had a tribal challenge day at Wellingtons Bay. The tribes we had were Ponamu (green), Total (yellow), Orange orangutans (orange) and The go kids (red).
We finished Art and Music for 2010. In music the year eights studied Bob Marley and rhythm and the year sevens did tribal drums. In art the year eights did clay work and the year sevens did sgrafitto work.
What did the orange say to the lemon?

Hi Everyone
Science Fair s coming up and Room 11 is bursting with ideas. The categories are Investigation and Technology.
Tawa is training for the cross country and we will do awesomely at it.
We will hopefully get 1st or 2nd place.=)
Room 11 is excited because in 2 weeks Mrs Procter is coming back from her Holiday in the middle east.

Hi everybody,
Mr Ridling is gone and Mrs Procter is back. Yaaaaaay !!!!!!
Mr Ridling has gone surfing in Bali for a month and will be back next term to relieve in our school. Looking forward to that.
Mrs Procter has been talking about her holiday all day and Room 11 is very jealous. In Egypt, Mrs Procter got us some bookmarks with our names written in hieroglyphs on the front. They are pretty cool. She has also been telling us about the pyramids and the mummies.

Its just Tyler here because Bella's in class finishing her Science Fair.
Speaking about Science Fair Room 11's right into it. We've got investigations on everything. Very creative Room 11.
Goal shooting relay is finished and Room 11 came second in our syndicate ranking but first in the plate competition. Yaaayy. In the KIS soccer world cup Room 11 is Ivory Coast and I think that we're doing well.

Term 327.7.10Hey everybody,
KIS Roadshow is coming up and there are a lot of people in Room 11 auditioning and they look stunning with their dances etc.
We have also finished Science Fair and we are waiting for the answer to our questions. Who has won prizes and who has gotten through to the regionals? Heres hoping that someone from our class has.
Mrs Davies is choosing our KIS year 7 debate team and the candidates are nervous to find out who is in and who is out.
Mr Ridling is back from his holiday in Bali and he is prepared to teach again so good luck to him.

WHAT HAPPENED THIS WEEK10.8.10Hi every one,
This week we did debating. For the year eights they were the affirmative team for - "Should the school hours be extended?" and they won.
For the year sevens they were the affirmative team as well and their moot was - "That today's children are spoiled?" and they lost by 1 point! Anyway well done to those debaters they did very well.
There was also the language festival. The food was amazing such as crepes, sushi, fry bread, and a whole lot of delicious food. We also had half an hour with our syndicate at the language festival where we rotated around the different languages playing games.

Zoo Trip and Cross Country24.8.10
Hi everyone!
Next week Tawa is going to Auckland Zoo and Waiwera and Tawa is so excited!
This is for our topic. We are studying Endangered Animals and it is heart breaking having to watch videos of black markets, and pretty much dead tigers, sharks, etc.
At the Zoo we are going to look at all the endangered animals that the Zoo have there and look at the programs they have to stop these animals becoming extinct.
Last Thursday we had Cross Country and a lot of people were participating.
There were 4 Races; Y7 Girls, Y7 Boys, Y8 Girls and Y8 Boys. Everyone Gave a huge effort and afterwards everyone was exhausted.
We say good luck to all those participating in barge park. Hope you win!

TERM 4Monday 11 October 2010Roadshow has been on tour for 2 weeks and have done an amazing job. The finale was amazing and all the lights were shining like daylight!! The Staff did a very hilarious dance to the song "California girls" by Katy Perry. The Roadshow group worked so hard and the teachers are very proud.
The speech competition is coming up and Room 11 are very confident and there are some very interesting topics such as "My speech" and "The Titanic".
And everybody's excited to hear the amazing speeches we have prepared.

Intensives-2.11.10Hi everybody, we had intensives last week and they were so much fun!!!
Tyler had photography, she brought batteries that didn't work what a shame!!
Bella had murals, she got paint all over herself from leaning on the wet paint!!! Other than that we had a pretty awesome week.
The murals were put up on the library wall yesterday and they look amazing. Congratulations to all the students that helped paint them. Good job!
Speeches-
A few weeks ago, we had the speech finals and all the speeches were cool except for two, those two were pure gold.Jade in Kowhai, and Bella in TAWA!!!!!!! (me.)
The topics were very interesting Jade talked about boys which shows we don't need them just yet. Bella's speech was about equality between men and women it sounds boring but is a very interesting topic and shows it's the girls time to shine!!
Well done to all of the finalists!

Term 4 - Blog 316.11.10Athletics-
Hi everybody,
We have come to Athletics!!!!!
Last week we had sprints and Tawa did amazing. Kelsey and Chloe from Rm 11 came first and second for the 100m and 200m. Room 11 are very proud of them. As well as those two, Louis came 1st in the Year-7 high jump yesterday and he was amazed by his efforts. That earned Tawa big points. Marie also got 8th in discus.
Today we have the rest of the field events which some of our classmates are doing and we wish them a lot of luck.
KIS Has Got Talent-
Next Thursday night KIS Has Got Talent is on during our mini food gala. There will be all kinds of different acts. This will be open for parents and families to come and watch the performances. We wish them luck on winning the 1st place prize.

Room 11 came 1st in the plate finals and we are so happy!!! Thanks to Kelsey who got the ball and sprinted for her life!
