HI and welcome to Nikau Bs first blog for 2010!!!
It's already Term Two and soooooo much has been happening. Our Teacher is Mr Palmer, and he has been great. We have chosen our Class Reps Ella and Dinidu and their Deputies are Kennedy & Millie.
This year we haven't done so well in Tug O War, but we were second in the Consolation Cup for Scatterball. Now we are competing in the Cricket Competition and the Year-7 boys have lost 1 but won 3, so I think we are doing quite well.

NIkau B's 2nd Blog3/5/10
In Term One all of Nikau went on camp to Coopers Beach. There was a massive flying fox it was really fun and fast. When Group 1 went to the beach to do sea biscuiting a Group of dolphins came so close that Group 1 called the rest of Nikau to come down to see them.
On day 2 Group 2 went to the Whale Museum. We saw heaps of Whale bones they were huge. THen we went inside and watched a silent movie.
On day 3 we did top team the challenges ,trampolining, challenge course , Kayaking, dicey wicket, swimming ,land skies, cargo net, stepping stones then we had to shove our faces in flour and find our colored jelly bean it was really sticky.
It was a great camp.

Nikau B's 3rd Blog18/05/10
Not long ago we had the Reading Competition for 2010. The Year 8 Reading Competition was really funny. Madison from Room 18 came first and Sean from Nikau C came second ( GO NIKAU ).
The Year 7 Reading Comp was even more funnier than the Year 8's Reading Comp. The winner was Rebeca from Room 18 and second was Ann-Marie from Room 3.
Our lunch time sport at the moment is hockey. The girls have not done so well, but the boys have been awesome winning against Kowhai 6-0.

On the 28th of May we had Winter Sports day. The sports were Basketball, league, rugby, soccer, netball, ripper rugby and hockey. The Room 18 boys made an all boys netball team. Just watching them made me laugh.
I played league and it was really fun. I scored 3 try's. My team won 2 and lost 2.
My Joke:
Q:Why don't Zebras use the pedestrian crossing.
A: Because they cant be seen

at the moment its the SoccerWorld Cup.so Mr Kivell came up with the idea that we should have a mini world cup at school. Nikau Bs team is Mexico we have won two & lost two. Nikau C team won all there three games so they have been doing really well!!!!!
This is the last week of school until the holidays YAY!!!!!!!
Next term is going to be busy because Science Fair is in the first week of term 3

At the moment our lunchtime sport is Ripper Rugby & Tackle Rugby. The Ripper boys have won 1 & lost 1. The girls Ripper won their 1 game. The tackle boys have won 1 & lost 1. Ripper Rugby has 10 aside &Tackle has 12 aside.
We are also selling chocolates to fundraise for the school & if you sell the whole box you get a $3:00 canteen voucher.
Q: Why did the orange stop rolling down the hill
A: because it ran out of juice.

This Thursday we are having our school cross country and on friday we have teacher only day.
Nikau came third in the rugby an d the ripper girls came first ( GO NIKAU ) the girls were Kennedy, Liza, Madeleine, Mckenzie, Chantell, Alesha, Tapita, Eden, Ashleigh, Briah, Merrryn, Briony, Heaven-lee Tara, Haylee A
2 weeks ago we had language festival i was involved in spanish, i was teaching spanish numbers.
At the moment we are starting to write our speeches because in a couple of weeks time we will doing speeches .

At the moment we are having the WIS/KIS sports challenge.
The sports are: hockey, rugby, soccer, netball and basketball.
The week before last we had our school Cross Country Ben came 11th, Callum came,13 and Caleb came 15.

NB'S 9th Blog19.10.10At the moment we are getting organised for intensives next week. Callum is doing Sailing for the three days & Vanessa is doing Bush Wacka, Hebel Stone Carving and Pasifica Art.We are both looking forward to it it will be lots of fun. Next week Samoa and Fiji kids are going to Samoa & Fiji.

Nikau B's 10th blog22.11.1Hi the week before last we had track events for athletics. Nikau B came first out of Nikau for the relays.Then last week we had field events the people who competed did really well.
This Thursday at 5.30pm we have K.I.S has got talent and food court it will very interesting to watch.
Next Tuesday Nikau is going to Waiwera and The zoo it will be really fun.
