THRASHING THREES First Blog21\04\10Hello and welcome to some stuff about the thrashing three's. We had a great start to the year. Kowhai's leading the race for the cup, We're the plate champions for tug 'o' war, and we won scatterball.
This year we have wonderful class reps Sam and Jayden and deputy class reps Emily and Sonya. We also have our fun and encouraging teacher Ms Butler. Kowhai has had an awesome start to this year, with Sponge-Bob our mascot. We are taking the lead and proving our skills. KEEP IT UP KOWHAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thrashing Three's Bloggy Thing03/05/10Hi everybody, we are back with our 2nd bloggy thingy! (Catchy isn't it) When I was in the science room Emily thought that Apples are better than microsoft. I think Microsoft leaves Apple lying in the dust. This is like the Holden-Ford debate. I will try prove to her that Microsoft is better. I'll do some research and see if someones done a survey or something on the internet. The results will be in the next blog.
So Kowhai is coming second now but by the time soccer is finished we will be back up at the top again. We have already earned points from Rama our excellent reading competition finalist.

Trashing Three's Other Bloggy Thing17/05/10Wow Kowhai are doing great we may be coming 2nd in the inter-syndicate cup now but we will be winning after hockey you wait and see. Surprisingly I came 2nd in reading comp finals by 1 point but Rebecca from Rimu just beat me . . .
Oops I forgot about the Apple-Microsoft debate research. I'll try get it in the next blog, if I remember. Anyway, I don't know what to write so I'll just go on and on about nothing. even that sentence took up some room. and this one. Anyway bye to whoever reads this! You heard me, BYE! now go away.

The Further Adventures Of THRASHING THREES!31/05/10I forgot about it again. I think I should just forget about it. If you don't know what I'm talking about check the above blogs.
Anyway, Kowhai might not be winning at the moment, but we'll zoom ahead. Just look at our history, we won 7 times, Tawa 3, Matai 1, Rimu 2, Nikau 3. I think. Our further adventures are not very adventurous.
Well done to our yr 7 spellers, they won the K.I.S Spelling Bee.
We are coming 2nd now in the race to the Syndicate Cup, but hopefully we will be back at the top again soon

Thrashing Three's Are Thrashing You14/06/10Our title says it all. We are definitely going to be winning in the Inter-Syndicate Cup after the school World Cup soccer has finished. Room 3 (Slovakia) lost their first game to Room 7 (Uruguay), but we will win our second game.

I went to the Science room for Science Fair today. I'm way behind schedule. I just got my "silica gel" for my experiment and the board is due in 2 weeks. I'm pretty sure anyway. It might be 4 weeks

Hi, its me Ann-marie and today I am going to tell you about Rm 3's netball team. Our team has 7 people in it and thats including me! Today Rm 3 WON our first netball game 3-0 (Yay). so we're off to a good start.
My turn, Jade C that is. Guess what? I actually remembered!!! I searched through lots of sites on google. there were lots of sites each sticking to their own favourite brand. I tried looking for an official survey, I found a few. Apparentaly, Microsoft was more popular than apple, but vista brought them down a bit. Some of their customers turned to Apple, but windows 7, just released, sparked Microsoft up to an all time high, Way ahead of Apple. Anyway, World cup indoor soccer has been and gone. Despite our best efforts, we (Slovakia) didn't make it out of our pool. : (

The Return Of The Thrashing Three's03/08/10
Here at K.I.S we have an exciting term ahead of us. In a couple of weeks we will all be competing in the Kamo Intermediate School cross country. Everyone will be trying there hardest to win points for their syndicate.
Hi everyone, me again (Jade). We had a great time at science fair, it was a great success. There was so many entries that some had to go on the floor! I got mine in on time (yay). Revenge Of The Thrashing Three's16/08/10Hi everyone that is reading this blog, It's me, Jade. again. We here at Rm 3 are starting to write our speeches for the speech contest. The top 2-3 speeches in our class go through to the Syndicate Finals. The top speech in the syndicate goes to the School Finals to compete against the other "top-of-the-syndicate" competitors and win loads of points and make our syndicate win :-). My speech is on sibling rivalry and I have already interviewed 6 people. Have a guess, what type of sibling is most annoying? Go on, its not hard. Little sisters! don't you agree? Anyway, chow for now!
Ahhh I'm so nervous, Cross Country is this Thursday! Everyone at K.I.S. will be competing to cross the line first. Hopefully people from Kowhai will win so we can get more points for our syndicate and win!

YOU CAN'T THRASH THE THRASHERS THE THRASHING THREES WILL THRASH YOU!!!20/9/10Wow. Last week all of kowhai were lucky enough to go and watch our awesome Roadshow group. It was AMAZING! Well done to everyone who got into the roadshow, and for those who didn't, it's not the end of the world. 5 people from Room 3 made it in to the Roadshow and they were Kelly, Teresa, John, Jayden, and Tiana.
Hi, Jade again. Recently for lunchtime sports we have been doing Volleyball. we practiced and put together a team and it seems to be working because we have won every game so far, GO KOWHAI!!!!!!! We are catching up to Rimu in syndicate points. :----- )

THRASHING THREES Vs. TERM 4!!!18/10/10Hi, it's Jade here. Welcome to term 4! Term 4 is freaking busy. we have intensives, our syndicate trip, our class trip, speeches, prize giving. Uuuuhhh, it's a huge term. Intensives are next week. I did intensives last year and I'll tell you one thing it is AWESOME!!! I did bowling and pools for one day, rock climbing at vertical playground for another, and made pizza and shortbread and stuff for my last day. On the bad side, I wont be doing it this year. On the good side, It's because I'm going to be in Aussie for 2 and a half weeks! I fly out on the day after tomorrow. Yay! Bring it on!!!
Hi it's me Ann-marie, and I am buzzing because this term is going to be AWESOME! I cant wait till next week because I have intensives (YAY!). Another thing I am looking forward to this term is going to Goat Island and Reotahi for snorkeling as part of our current marine reserves topic unit! The one thing I am really not looking forward to this term is saying goodbye to all the AWESOME! year 8's who are moving on :(

The Thrashing Threes Awesomest Blog Ever!!!9/11/10This is the awesomest blog ever because I'm writing it! Just Jade! (Awesome blog isn't it?) I just got back from Aussie. I was staying at the Gold Coast. It is so hot over there! It really is!
I had a great time and I went to 3 theme parks. I went to Movie World, Sea World, and Wet 'n' Wild. I think Wet 'n' Wild was best. I went on their new ride called the aqua loop. They lock you in a glass fronted chamber and then the floor drops out on you. You free-fall down the slide and curve around and do a full loop in the water slide, then you get shot out the other side.
My favourite ride is the Superman Escape at Movie World. It's a roller coaster that goes 120 km/h, pulls 4 G-forces going up a hill at top speed, and -1 G-force going down the other side.
Anyway, Just to associate this blog with school stuff I'll talk about athletics. Our school is just starting the inter-syndicate athletics challenge. There is a lot of events at athletics, sprints, 100 meters, 200 meters, 800 meters, relays, long jump, high jump, shotput and discus. Read our next blog to find out who wins…

THRASHING THREES, Best class of the Best syndicate in the best school in the world23/11/10The year has gone so quickly. Three and a half weeks of Kamo Intermediate 2010 left. After all our athletic events, Kowhai has finally taken the lead. We are only in the lead by 15 points so we need to keep up the good work. Well done to everyone who made it in to the athletics finals.
As you probably read above, KOWHAI IS WINNING THE INTER SYNDICATE CUP!!! Not by much though. 15 points. Anyway, Kowhai has just had our marine reserves topic unit. For a syndicate trip we went snorkeling at Reotahi and Goat Island. The water was warm as, and there were lots of fish. I thought I would have seen more though. It's not like those documentaries on TV where there is fish everywhere. But it was fun.
