NATIONAL GIRLS Under13 HOCKEY

In this year Collier Trophy Team, 12 Kamo Intermediate students were selected to represent Northland at the National Tournament taking place in Nelson.
Those from K.I.S were: Bridget J - Room 15, Sara M - Room 15, Claudia K - Room 11, Nakeysha L - Room 10, Rachel P - Room 3, Gabrielle S - Room 15 (who all play for the K.I.S 1st XI) and Stephanie D - Room 14, Katrina H - Room 6, Michelle H - Room 15
Maddison H - Room 18, Ella-Rose - Room 8, Laura R - Room 11 (who all play for Ruatangata A-Grade Girls) as well as Pailin S, Ella G and Anna M (not K.I.S girls but selected for the team).
After winning their first 4 games, including beating Wellington 1-0 and Counties/Manukau. The girls came up against Tauranga (who had beaten them during preseason tournaments) and once again Tauranga won 2-0. This meant they came 2nd in Pool A.
In the Playoffs, they had loses to Waikato and Nelson. This meant they were io playoff for 7th & 8th against Hawkes Bay, which ended in a nil all draw.
So 7th Equal for 2009 - Well Done Girls and the Management Team

(both Northland & Hawkes Bay finish 7th Equal)
