Nikau C’s First Fabulous Blog04/05/09Kia-ora and welcome to Nikau C’s 2009 Webslinger blog.
Now one of the things Nikau C did last term was our Activity Week, which involved heaps of awesome adventures like coaching clinics, swinging from tree to tree, riding on bikes through muddy and slippery mountain tracks at Glenbervie Adventure Park, walking and jumping down rugged rocks at the Waipu Abseiling cliffs and veiwing glow worms in the dark and cold caves at Waipu.
Now in the last week of school Term 1 Nikau C students were speaking in front of the class for the reading comp. Which was very interesting because a lot of students chose funny and grasping stories which were very good because it gave good points towards their grade. The year sevens that made it through to the syndicate finals out of Nikau C were Ashley E, Nathan C and Laura C. The brilliant year eights that got through were Nathan H and Re-joyce O.
Now to finish off this blog we will do a really dumb joke......

Nikau Champions Blog20/05/09OMG, wasn't the reading competition so funny, scary and wacky. Well if you weren't there to see it, your chance just might come because, the reading competition was filmed with style for Channel K presents.
Now the winner of the year 8's reading competition was me, Nathan from Nikau C and also the winner of the year 7 reading competition was Laura also from Nikau C.
The new lunch time sports that have stared are soccer, bowls and pyramids. In the first bowls Nikau C one their match against Rm2 Kowhai by 2 massive points.
To finish off this great blog we will do a random joke

Nikau C Winter Sports Blog22 May 2009Bonjour, i cant believe it we are already up to our third blog.
Well during term 2 K.I.S participated in the winter sports 2009 competing in sports like soccer,basketball rugby league, ripper rugby, table tennis,netball and hockey.
The sport that i, nathan played was basketball. My team played 5 games and won 2
against our nemesis W.I.S.
I Ashley also played basket-ball, we played 7 games and we painfully lost 5. But on the upside we won 2 incredible games.
A event that is happening at K.I.S is the debating, and the moot is 'That clothes make the person'. The first debate is Nikau Vs Kowhai.
Now to finish off the blog we will do a weird joke,
Why was the blonde staring at the orange juice? Because it said concentrate.

DebatingMonday 15th june 2009Inter- syndicate Debating started on Friday 12th june 2009 and the moot was 'that clothes make the person'.
Our affirmative team was made up of 3 awesome people Summer, Nathan, and I Ashley. We were versing the past champions Kowhai.
Pretty much we destroyed them because we had heaps and heaps of awesome come-backs.
Our next opponents are going to be Tawa and we are hoping that we are going to thrash them as well.
If we d beat them we will be in the finals and versing Rimu.

The Final Term 2 BlogMonday 29 June 2009OMG its already the end of an awesome term 2 and there have been a lot of fun things that have happened over the past term.
For e.g. Reading Comp, Lunch Time Sports, Winter Sports, Debating and a lot more fun things.
But during last week, we had the year 7 trivial pursuit Competition which was a blast, because there were a lot of brain waves going through the minds of the smart and clever students from each class which was great. The class that came out on top was room 8 and followed by the amazing and astonishing Nikau C.
On Friday we had a special guest speaker named Marcel Bernard, and she spoke to us about how to become a brave and confident speaker in front of an audience and great tips on how to write a speech.
So this term has been full on, with a lot of fun filled activities and opportunities.

The First Fun Blog Of Term 327.07.09Kia Ora, welcome to Nikau C's blogs for term 3 2009.
This term is going to be action packed and full of excitment. Some of the spine chilling events that are coming up this term are speeches, roadshow, mathex, language week, heaps more lunchtime sports AND MUCH MUCH MORE.
One event at KIS, that heaps of kids got involved in was the science fair, which was held at the hall.
The science fair projects were awesome, but the most informative and creative science fair projects are going down to forum north.
The new lunch time sport that is happening is netball, Nikau C is doing really well, drawing at the moment with room 7 in Matai........
GO NIKAU!!!!!!!!!
Now we are going to do a dumb joke....... knock, knock..... who's there?........ wonder............. wonder who?............. wonder who's there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nikau C's Sports BlogMonday 10 August 2009
Kia Orana, i cant believe that we are nearly half way through the term already, and so far there have been a lot of fun, awesome and exciting activities. The lunch time sport that is starting today is goal shooting and Nikau is playing their own classes and seeing who is the best out of the 4 teams. A K.I.S event that is coming up in two weeks time is the Cross Country, and all the syndicates are training to try receive a huge amount of points for their syndicate. The topic at K.I.S for this term is Pasifica
and up in Nikau we are studying where all the Pacific islands are
located, what their cultures are like and what the similarities are.
Now for a funny joke: Why was the teacher cross-eyed, because she couldn't control her pupils.

What a fun day we had on Friday last week. There were parents supporting their children, there were students channel k'ing their friends and teachers controlling the crowd, it was an awesome day. But because it was an awesome day was because people were channel k'ing, clapping and cheering on their friends and family. Well done K.I.S.
Coming up at K.I.S, we are having the Road Show in weeks 9 and 10 and all the bands and performers are preparing for their great acts.
The Lunch Time sports that are starting this week are hockey and table tennis and all the classes are preparing and getting there bests players to try and take the lunch time shield for their victory.

Roadshow blog19-10-09Kia Orana, and welcome to our 1st blog of term 4. So far at K.I.S, we have started Basket-ball and tabletennis, and all the classes have been battling to win every round to take out the shied. Another event that is coming up is athletics and all the syndicates have been training hard to win each of the field events.
Last term we had the Roadshow, the road show crew and performers were going around all of the different Primary schools, performing their brilliant acts and dances. Some of the Primary schools we went to were Kamo Primary, Hurupaki, Horahora Primary, Totara Grove primary, and plenty more.
Some of the acts were Kapa Haka, 4 bands, 6 singers, 5 groups of dancers, a karate act, Chris the mime and a comedy act-the Couch Potatoes.
At the end of the Roadshow, we had the shining star acts certificates and the best channel k, supportive and well performed acts received a certificate and names got put in a hat and went into the draw to win a poster.
Things that are coming up this week are umpiring at the Tikipunga, the social this Thursday, the year 7 speech finals this friday and the Pacific island trip for the year 8's.

10-11-09Nikau c's athletics blogKia Ora, and welcome to Nikau c's athletic blog, OMG this year has just gone extremely fast, and we all have got involved in the opportunities KIS has given to us.
Anyway, athletics is coming up, and Nikau is training really hard to find our best athletes, the competition is really hard because everyone is trying to get the top spot.
My best field event is probably high jump, but I didn't get into the syndicate champs.
So far nikau A, is winning the relays, so hopefully Nikau will get more points, because we really need them.
Now we will finish off with a really funny joke………..ummmmmmmm, sorry, I can;t think of any jokes.

Nikau c's final blog for 091.12.09This year has flown by with lots of opportunities for example lunch time sports, science fair, road show,pacific island tour and a lot more remembering ,fun , wicked memories K.I.S has had this year.
We would like to thank the year 8's for being great role models for the year 7's, and we do not want you to leave but we wish the best of all luck and good fortune for the future. As for the year 7's we hope you enjoyed your time as a year 7 and may you be great role models for the new year 7's next year. GOOD LUCK:]
Now for something exciting, K.I.S is competing in the Whangarei Primary Athletics Champs and the school is buzzing with excitement for the K.I.S students representing our school, and we know they will win that K.I.S - W.I.S shield and we hope they will do us proud. GO HARD!!!!!!
Now all the students in the school are trying their best to impress their teachers because of the end of year assembly with about 20 honorable awards including the citizenship award for one year 8 boy and one year 8 girl and the first year achievers award for one year 7 girl and one year 7 boy. So if your coming for a visit to the best intermediate in the world, you will see that a lot of the kids are well behaved and have respectful manners.

Samoa Tour Blog1.11.09
What an amazing trip the samoan group had in Samoa. The water, the food and the beautiful sun was just magnificent. One of the most remembering things that i will always remember was when we had the disco night and we had a rocking night we stayed up, had fun, and then we went for lovely swim about 10:30 pm and it was the bomb. I would like to thank all the parents for all their effort and would like to thank with all my heart Miss Butler, Ms Kini and Whaea Katarina for organizing a great trip and i hoped you enjoyed your lovely massage present.
