In the past few weeks, the cross-country inter school participants have all done extraordinarily well. Taking back the W.I.S, K.I.S shield.

We are still continuing on with hockey, although we aren't doing spectacular, we are still using great teamwork and having fun.

Also in the past few weeks we have been presenting speeches, mostly Roadshow people have presented their speeches but the rest will be presented this week.

Roadshow practice has been coming along well. Good luck to all those people heading off to other schools for the Roadshow.

Coming up we have athletics... Yay!

NIKAU A'S Last Blog 2009

01.12.09

Haylee and Hannah have gone to the Athletic championships to battle it out with their Year group that’s why Ashley and Tegan are filling in this blog. We are thankful that we are filling in this blog as this will be the last blog for 2009 that Nikau A will ever do and all so our first attempt at ever writing a blog.

This year went so fast, it is sad to say good bye to the Year 8s and welcome to the new Year 7s for 2010.

This week a group of Winning athletic students from Kamo Intermediate set off to compete in the Whangarei Primary Athletic Championships to hopefully return with the K.I.S - W.I.S

This year was filled with lots of exciting activities like the following Lunch time sport , Science Fair , Road show , K.I.S social and plenty more.

The final assemblies are coming up. The last day for Kamo Intermediate School will be the 16th of December.

Next Week Nikau syndicate will be attending a Day worth of Kiwiana at the Heritage Park Museum where we will learn more about the topic we are studying on Kiwiana. After a day of Learning we will be coming back to school for a none - learning time of fun and exciting Water activities followed by a barbeque.

We are grateful for the amount of time that we have had in the Nikau syndicate. The year 7s will be filling the shoes of the Year 8s from this year who will be moving higher up in life onto college.

The Year 8s have set a good example of Respect , Channel K , and enthusiasm for the
Year 7s of 2009 so the Year 8s next year will keep the flow of the Channel K , Respect and
the enthusiasm attitude here at Kamo Intermediate.
