Miss Katy Tonks
She is an expert on performing arts, she appeared on the very first episode of channel k presents being interviewed by one of our very own class reps Matt
All the camps were in term one and we went to Coopers Beach with our neighbours Room 8
In the Spelling Bee our syndicate came third. In the Spelling Bee from Room 9 we had from the year 7s Kieran and Rihanna and from the year 8s we had Matt and Jackson.

Winter sports day3.6.09
Winter Sports day
On winter sports day 2009 we chose the sport of our choice.
We were put into teams and got ready to have a great day.
When the day came you could feel the excitement buzzing in the air.
As the buses arrived we nervously got on,and waited to start moving , and and by the time we
we got there everyone rushed off the bus to try and get in some practice
before their first game.
By the end of the day everyone was tired but didn't want to stop but we gradually
filed onto the buses and headed home

soccer plate final16.6.09
The crowds swarmed towards the plate final Matai vs Nikau in soccer as the teams waited to kick off.
As soon as the ball was kicked off the crowd starts cheering for there syndicate team.
As room 9 charged at the ball kicking it towards Nikau's goal and even though we had many attempts at goal we finally scored
a stunning goal and won 1 nil to matai.
Now all we had to do towards the end of the game is defend and make sure Nikau does not get a goal .
As the final whistle was blown all of matai cheered and room 9 went together for a group photo.

1.Falling over on stage in front of 500 people!
2.I always manage to say things that have a double meaning!

Miss.Tonks:I do but ... HEINZ is better! yes I am English born.
3.Spider-man or Batman?
Miss.Tonks:Batman
4.What is your favourite tv-show and what do you like about it?
Miss.Tonks:Prison Break- the suspense that they buildup and the intense plots & thinking involved
Greys Anatomy- good old girlie story lines
5.favourite simpsons character what do you like about him/her
Miss. Tonks:Homer-I like his awesome one liners
-His "common" sense antics!

Our awesome attitude is so good, If there are
Opportunities we take them, we never use put downs,

Into all sorts of activities like arts and crafts,
Never naughty or unhelpful, but were always
Environmental carers,
Ruma Iwa is so very
Organized.
Courage and co-operation never let us down.
Kind and friendly and never ever mean!
So take my advice and always be nice!

Science FairTuesday 1st September
Last week on Tuesday the 25th of August the Northland Science Fair was held at Forum North. We had many people from room 9 to compete against the whole of Northland. We had Matt competing in the year 8 division, Mikayla, Isabella and Ruby in the year 7s.
Matt won a lot of prizes. He came 1st = in the year 8 investigation, Best year 8 exhibit, Best Overall investigation and won the big over all prize out of the whole of Northland!!! He won two BIG trophies. 1 for the Best over all investigation and the big OVERALL trophy.
Mikayla Won the TOP Year 7 investigation award and the Best presentation award.
Ruby won the year 7 technology.
Well done room 9!!

Your favourite sport to do in class time?
Capture the rugby ball and soccer.
Do you enjoy miss Tonks and your class mates?
Yes i do, because my class mates are cool and funny and miss Tonks teaches me.
