Steve is our new student teacher. He is really cool because he takes us out for A.B.L in the afternoons and he also teaches us with lots of enthusiasm. But at times he can be really grumpy. In class he puts music on to entertain us and he also puts on youtube in class while we work. We have grown fond of Steve while he has been here, he is so nice that he split us students up into groups and whichever group gets the most points gets to shave his head!!!!

Soccer

On Monday the 18th of May Room 2 vs. Room 9 in a game of super soccer. The first half of the game no one scored. Nothing changed until the end of the game when they had a penalty shoot out. And as the 2nd to last player our very own grace ran up to the ball with all of her might it rammed into the net. All of the Kowhai supporters screamed and cheered even the people not in Kowhai were stunned. The final score was Kowhai 1 and Matai 0.      ROOM 2 WON YAY!!!!!!!  GO KOWHAI!!!!!!!!

Room 2's Syndicate Rotations

Every Friday Kowhai has syndicate rotations. Everyone is split into four groups and goes into different classes. Our group, Group One was lucky enough to be in our class awesome Room 2! Every teacher does different subjects. Mrs Robert's our teacher does art. She started off by reading us the Kuia and the Spider. And then we drafted our designs and once we showed her, we would draw them onto a spider cut out. After we drew it on our cutout we went over it in vivid and took our beautiful pieces of artwork home. We cant wait to try out all the other classrooms.

Room 2's Soccer Final

On the 11th of June Room 2 took on Room 14 in the Soccer Championship Final.

The first goal went to Tawa. They played hard and no one scored until the 2nd half. But soon enough Kowhai struck back with an amazing goal. Tawa scored the next goal. We fought hard but Tawa pushed back and just before the game was over Room 14 scored a surprising goal. It was devastating for Kowhai but every one was glad that it was over. Overall we came 2nd

The best EVER blog

Hello and a very happy one at that too. This is the second blog for room 2. Term 3. Room 2 has gotten off to a very fast start and it is hard to think that it was little time ago that we were out on the washed up shores of Rarotonga soaking up the sun and getting spoilt rotten by your fellow companions. Okay maybe not. This term so far we have been getting rid of the work load we have and moving on to new things. Before we start our  topic  on pacific, we have to learn some awesome mapping skills. Okay okay, that is a bit boring. Room 2 has also getting up and ready for the up coming event of cross country. I don't know about you but secretly, I do not like it. at all. We are also looking forward to going to Auckland this Friday! with the rest of the syndicate. Alright. that does me. I type to much. Honestly. Well write soon........

pacifica

This term we are learning lots of new stuff about Pacifica we went to the Auckland museum and had a look at all the cool Pacifica stuff there were drums that we got to play on. The lizards skin drum it looked really weird because it still had its nails on. We got to learn a traditional Samoan dance it was so fun. Than we got to have a go on the Samoan drills they were a lot different to the drills we have in New Zealand.  I am sure all of the kids that went got to learn lots of cool things about Pacifica.

Intensives

YAY we have intensives at kis next week hear some things about intensives. Intensives is when the Samoa and Vanuatu people go on their trip and the rest of us do intensives we get to pick 9 things that we would like to do but we only get given 3 like bread making, chocolate lovers delight, sport til you drop, horse riding and many other sport ones, art ones, music and lots more. Intensives are a fun time because we get to wear mufti for 3 days and we get to do art or sport what ever we got given. It will be such a fun time next week doing intensives half of the school will be doing intensives out of school and so of us will be doing them at school.

It's Been Awesome

  Hi guys it’s been an awesome holidays!!!!! It was sad to come back to school; at least everyone was looking forward to the social!!! We have all got use to the schoolwork at me and Shar are looking forward to intensives. Paige Got… Photography, Murals and Bread making. Shar’s were… Dance, Chocolate Lovers, (Yummy!), and Pacifica art.

We are also looking forward to the The Next holidays. Swimming, Having Fun, Relaxing and the best of all…. CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!  Yep all those presents and having Delicious Food! Ok, well here is a little song to brighten up your day…

Christmas

  OMG it is only 24 days till Christmas it is going to be a very hot Christmas this year.we all have our class trips our class is going to the pools and having a BBQ it will be so fun.

And after that on the last week of school RM2 is having a shared lunch for the Korean exchange student is going back to Korea and we will miss her so so much she has made a lot of new friends and I am sure that most of them will keep in contact with her after she has gone back. We will always remember her bubbly face and funny sense of humour. We will miss you Hae Yi!

And it will be weird cause all of the years 8s are leaving and all the year 7s will miss all the year 8s.
