Tangihua's Terrifying Tourists Camp

TANGIHUAS TERRIFIED TOURISTS

Room 6’s Camp 2008

Room 6’s camp hit off with a bang at Tangihua Lodge!
We did so many exhilarating things on camp but here are some of our favourite moments.
The first day of camp, we all hit the challenge course. Everyone got down and dirty. There were tears, people shaking in fear, and adrenaline running through our minds. But, most of us managed to get out of the challenge course in one piece.

Day two opened up a slightly larger time frame for us to enjoy. Our next game was Mission Impossible. Mr Smith had set up a bomb somewhere at Tangihua. We had to complete a various amount of tasks to get clues and defuse the bomb in a short amount of time.

Day Three was a frantic frenzy of fun! We headed down to Waipu Caves and started our daring quest. We began with some tramping. It took a whole hour and we were still not where we were supposed to be. We were hopelessly lost. Our parent had to run down to one of the houses and get a ride back to Waipu Caves. The next activity was rock climbing. We had to climb up the gigantic rocks with quick thinking and a lot of upper body strength.

The last activity was one our favourites. It was almost pitch black caving. We got mucky and muddy and all our clothes turned to a light shade of brown. Yuck! We saw glowworms and unidentifiable dangling things. We also saw stalagmites and stalactites as well!
But the best part about it was the mudslide waiting for us at the end!

Overall it was a great experience for everybody and we feel sorry for the people who couldn’t enjoy it.
