Screaming fans egg us on, finally we have the perfect line up I kick, I score the ball hurtles into the goal the goalie try to stop it but its to late. SCORE!!!!!!!! Our fans scream as we walk away with victory.

Cross Country01/09/08
The high pitch whistle goes as the yr 8 girls speed off. The track is tough and long but everyone manages to keep going. Tayla from Nikau takes an early lead, and manages to take the champion placing. Wairaka and Annaleise from our class came 5th and 6th, but everyone did their best.

Roadshow 200820/10/08In term 3 week 9, Rimu went to see the 2008 K.I.S Roadshow. Annaleise, Sophie, Wairaka, Tyler and Kaitlin did a dance to the song Mercy. Yana sang White Flag. Carwyn played a song on the keyboard and Troy was a robot. On the day we went, Kamo Primary Juniors came to watch as well. They all enjoyed it, especially the lollipop dance because they all got lollipops.

Intensives11/11/08Ouch! The paintball comes straight towards me and hits me in the leg. I head down to the cage to tick my name off. I touch the base. Bang! YAY! Straight away I shoot somebody in the head. “Oh no, I’m REALLY sorry!” I say. It was one of my teammates.
For the first day of Intensives I did Paintball. It was super fun. I got shot three times, unlike my friend who got shot SIXTEEN times! I got shot once in the leg and two times in the head.
Secondly, I did Animal Survival. Although I got heaps of cuts and I nearly broke my ankle, it was really fun. Julian from Room 18 and I were both deer so we hung out together and hid in the dead, chopped down trees, bushes, tug people and enjoyed our day at Whananaki!
The last day of fun I did Magic Mosaics. A day of relaxing and making beautiful art. We got to choose one piece of china each, smashed it up and tried to make the pieces fit in a shape of a cross or a heart. Just like a puzzle. Next we glued the pieces of smashed up china on the shape and put grout in between the pieces, let it dry and there, a beautiful mosaic right in front of your eyes.
Overall I think paintball was my favourite activity. But all of them were fun and I’m looking forward to intensives next year.

Countdown for the Zoo trip24/11/0810 more days to go! Everyone in Room 17 is ready to meet some wild animals!
On the fourth of December, Room 17 will invade the Auckland Zoo. We are going to be staying the night in the old elephant house, running wild, getting lost and having a blast! When the sun goes down we will go on a safari amongst the noisy animals to hear and see the night time stirrings of the zoo.
