STAGE CHALLENGE

3.7.08

Over the last 8-9 weeks Kamo Intermediate School has been practising for the Mission On Stage Challenge. Which is where you compete in a dance/drama show against lots of different school’s. Mrs Procter and Hayley used up their out of school time to make an award winning show. It was a lot of hard work but it was worth it. Our theme was AGAINST GENETIC ENGINEERING. They spent all day at Forum North on the 1st July to compete against high schools and drama schools. It was quite close but they decided that KAMO INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL WAS THE WINNER!!!

OUR CLASS TRIP

3.07.08

Over the last couple of weeks Room 15 has been getting up to a lot of stuff, including going to the Whangarei Aquatic Centre with Room 7. Room 15 was lucky enough to be invited by Room 7 on their class trip, the bus was a little on the full side so there was 3 to a seat but it was a short trip so it was all right. Once we got there everyone hopped in the pool, a couple when up to the slides. At lunch we had chips and sausages, then it was back in the pool.

In Room 15 we are very hard working and “Channel K” and really fun! We are very sporty and we have the best teacher in the world MRS PROCTER!

SAMOA 08

3/11/08

Here at KIS we had about 80 kids going overseas, About 55 kids went to Samoa, we were Spilt into 2 Groups, I was in Group 1 with a few of my friends, we had so much fun.

We left KIS at 1:00am on the bus to Auckland once we got thought Customs and had breakfast. When we boarded the plane, Everyone was so Excited. When the plane took off people that had never been on a plane were a bit scared but they were fine when we were in the sky.
When I hopped off the plane I felt warm air and said “I’m home”.
First group 1 went to Tanu beach fales. I Liked the Fales! I had so much fun There, After 3 night group 2 came and stay a night with us then the next day we left to go to the hotel which was great too…
I would go again anytime, I got to Know so many more people, I got a Great Tan and a little bit sunburnt!
Thanks to all the teachers that made this trip happen!
