KIS Bands4th June 2008
The Kamo Intermediate bands have kicked off really good
This term. The Road show is going to be a big hit for the
Rockers. I think some bands are practising super hard.
Mine is. It is all thrash metal and rock though…

trivial pursuit11/08/08
The Trivial Pursuit is what you might ask well it was a awesome two days it was hosted in the hall by Mrs Hedley it was on the 24th of June for the year 7’s and 1st of July for the year 8. What we did? We were firstly given slips of paper to write on then were asked questions about a certain subject. Some of the subjects were maths, science, spelling and New Zealand questions and many more. In the end Tawa and Rimu tied.
Congratulations Tawa and Rimu.

CROSS COUNTRY COMING UP!!!!!11/08/08
The Cross Country is coming up in Week 5.
Remember your PE gear and get training. Remember this will be done on the very last day of the Olympic games. The Olympics are going quite well too, Mahe Drysdale won his heat on Saturday night, but the smog is getting up quite a bit too.
Remember: Be the best you can be.

MARSDEN POINT TRIP21-10-08Last week we went to Marsden Point in Ruakaka, Whangarei last Thursday
We went there as a trip to our environment topic about earth sustainability.
We learnt that the point was the only oil refinery in New Zealand.
Their main imports are crude oil and butane, it smelt bad, but we still learnt a lot, it was very fun. We also went to Marsden Beach and played some games.

HIGH JUMP FINAL STRETCH
Ethan made it into the finals last week for high jump, after a whole two hours of trying to make it into the finals against Kadince, one of the tallest people in the school. It was down to three people when suddenly Jordan in Nikau went out by hitting his knee on the pole. It was up in the last jump when Ethan ran up as Kadince was out. It was sudden death. Ethan suddenly hit the bar and he was out but he was very graceful for coming second. But he tried his best and he did awesome.
