Crazy Nikau C's Blogs
Unique NIKAU!10\06\08 Nikau is a very unique syndicate because…
For one we participate in day 3 rotations they are really fun because we rotate between PE skills, contracts, TE REO MAORI and computers. We are also unique because we learn from 3 teachers. Also we like Nikau because everyone is so friendly and makes sure you are happy including the teacher’s. Nikau is the best syndicate in the best school in the universe.

TRIVIAL PURSUIT AND DEBATING…Thursday 3rd July 2008There was 6 sections and 36 questions they ranged from spelling, maths to sport.
It was so nervous waiting for the results of the Trivial Pursuit quiz. When Nerissa, Darcey, Peter and Vanece found out we came 2nd we were so happy but a bit guttered we didn’t come first.
Most of the questions were stuff I didn’t even know about. we were so worried if we had gotten the questions right but so relieved when we heard the answers.
So much noise came when we found out that Nikau won the debate against Matai. We only won by 7 points but we still won. the moot was that advertising creates unrealistic expectations We were negative.

TRIVIAL PURSUIT AND SCIENCE FAIRTuesday 12th August 2008Isn’t it crazy its our 3rd blog already and still every story is getting better and better.
Well keep your shoes on because awesome things have happened to KIS so far. The explosive Science Fair, which was very very spontaneous. We also had the first ever challenging Trivial Pursuit.
So lets talk about the Trivial Pursuit. Wow our group was a really skilful group; we had 2 Maths Extension students that were fortunately very helpful. Our team was Nerissa, Vanece, Darcey and Peter. At the end of the Trivial Pursuit the results were very good Nikau C came 2nd.

THE DOUBLE UP!Monday 15 September 2008
Is it shocking or
what, this is already our 5th blog and right now you should read these
fun, fantastic news that have happened at K.I.S.
OMG we as Nikau C were participating in the school Lit Quiz, and the
results that came back to us were not so good and I MEAN not so good.
We came in last place but luckily enough we were only year 7’s.
The chess competition was difficult for me as a Nikau C student because
there were 3 Nathan’s in the chess competition but lucky enough I bet
both of them and went through to the semi finals but was beaten with a
terrible result.

IntensivesMonday 3 November 2008OMG!!!!! Now was that fun or what. The rush, the excitement, the unbelievable faces of children running to the classes, that held the key to their going here, there and everywhere. Yep that’s INTENSIVES!!!
Well guess what, I just walked to the class where I was the first to arrive. So when we were all there, we had to hop in to groups of 4, then the teacher Mrs Davies called out the roll. When all the paper work was done, we where put into cars then driven to the horse riding stable which was called Piano Hill Horse Riding Centre.
We got there, we jumped out of the car, and went straight to the horses, where a lady that was the horse-riding instructor told us the rules. Once all the talking was over we led the horses around because it will help us get to know the horse. Then we finally got to ride the horses ourselves, it was kind of tricky doing on our own but when we where doing it for a while it gets kind of easy.
Now after lunch we got to choose our own horses to ride for a race. The race for the fastest time going over jumps, galloping through cones and racing around tyres. See I rode one of the fastest horses Rusty, and we came 2nd out 15 people which made me so proud of Rusty.
We washed our horse then we let them run into there field of nice green grass.

AthleticsMonday 17th November
Isn’t it amazing how many Channel K students go to watch the Athletes compete in Athletics.
Us being Nikau students have been practicing 100 and 200 meter sprints. I can’t wait to watch the sprints and the class relays. The weather hasn’t really been on our side because when it rains the grass is to slippery to run on.
From what Ive seen so far the Athletics is going to be tough. Good luck to every one competing in the Athletics.
