WORLD CUP TABLOIDS
– 23rd October 2007 –
This year as part of the Kamo
Intermediate Events Calender, We had a unique way of getting our school
involved in this year’s RUGBY WORLD CUP.
At assembly on 5th of September (before
the start of the World Cup) Each Class drew out of a hat one of the
participating countries which they would represent. They would also do
units on their countries to find out all they could. This is our Team
List:
Room 2 – Argentina, Room 3 – England, Room 4 – Romania, Room 5 – Samoa.
Room 6 – Portugal, Room 7 – Namibia, Room 8 – USA, Room 9 – France.
Room 10 – Wales, Room 11 – Fiji, Room 13 – Ireland, Room 14 – Canada.
Room 15 – South Africa, Room 16 – Georgia, Room 17 – Scotland, Room 18 – Japan.
Nikau A – Australia, Nikau B – Tonga, Nikau C – Italy.
Teachers – All Blacks.
Then on Tuesday 23rd (Day after Labour
Day) we had the World Cup Tabloids, where all the countries (dressed up
in their national colours) went out and played fun activities like
Ripper Rugby, Touch, Long Ball, Rounders, Dodgeball, Battleship hockey
and many more. It was an awesome, colourful and fun day.
