K.I.S At The "Stage Challenge"
SUPRÉ STAGE CHALLENGE
– Thursday 21st June 2007 –
This year for the first time in Kamo
Intermediate history, we entered a team into the Supré Stage Challenge.
Our performance was named “From Hawaiki to Hawaiki”
To help guide our group were our
Choreographer Supremo, Miss. Delaney (in charge of the umm...the dancing) and Artist in Residence, Hayley
Clark (in charge of sets, props & helped Mrs Williams with costuming). We had 42 students in the K.I.S team and of course all the
parent helpers as well.
We took the stage on the second night of
performances (Whangarei Girls High School won the first night). Kamo High School won Night 2 with Dargaville High coming
second, we walked away with 5 Excellence Awards for Best Lighting, Best
Costumes, Best Choreography, Best Music and Best Set (even though it
was a bit too big).
Although a lot of people said K.I.S did
so well for “a young intermediate team” we think NO! We did well for
any team. . .PERIOD!!!
Congratulations to all of the
performers, the stage crew, the lighting guys, the parent helpers, Mrs.
Williams and of course Miss. Delaney and Hayley. You all did awesome
and made us very proud!!!
