ADVENTURE CAMP
Room 6’s Camp 2007

Guess what! The sensational sixes camp was a sensational success. With a new class, a new place and a whole new level of fun. Our camp was packed full with fun adventures. We were found challenging ourselves with many activities that were all exciting. Read on and find out what we got up to.

When we got there we did many activities around camp like Burma trail, spotlight, the amazing race and A.B.L (Adventure based learning). They filled us with excitement and we were urging for more. For the next few days we had sailing, surfing and adventure world. The water was great and we learnt heaps of skills for surfing from pro surfers Mark Shanks and Fiona. For sailing we had a great time and got coached by the amazing Derry.

On the Burma trail its dark and we go through the bush with nothing but string guiding you through the tangling trees with tormenting adults making scary noises and jumping out and frighting you. Spotlight was also in the dark. We ran to and from base not getting shined on by a torch or else we had to start at our base again. The aim was to get as many glow sticks as possible. The Amazing Race is a race that challenges you by doing many different courses that are new and exciting tasks to take you out of your comfort zone as we did blind fold courses, group tasks and new experiences.

Adventure world was filled of awesome equipment and activities like Tarzan swings (sore hands but incredibly), Slippery pole ( fun to bang your friends and see them fall), BIG SLIDES! (wweeeeee), and the Trapeze (freaky AHHH).

But sadly the extraordinary trip had to end and was left for the next class to enjoy as much as we did.
