Room 13’s Awesome Camp

The 2007 camp for Room 13 at Whananaki Motor Camp, was a camp like no other, filled with fun activities, delicious dinners and lunches, and fun-filled events.
Our awesome activities included kayaking up an estuary to swimming and jumping hole that was about four metres deep. On Wednesday, we went to the surf beach, where we spent the day body boarding, swimming, and building sand castles it was a beach load of fun!! Later we went for a walk at night, around the forest, which was across the estuary from the camp.
The next night we went fishing, and after a short drive, we arrived at the old concrete jetty. I (Steven) caught two Spanish mackerel; my friend (Rikajn) caught one.
Our menu included meals like chicken kebabs, spaghetti Bolognese, hot dogs, hamburgers and our favourite: jelly and ice cream for desert.
On Friday, we packed up and came back to school, ending an indescribable camp for Room 13.
