World Championship - FOOTBALL (Soccer)

The other “World Cup” took place Monday 19/06, between perennial finalists Miss Delaney’s Room 15 and Mrs. Hudspith’s Nikau ‘A’. In a tough, tense and nerve racking game the full time score was nil all. This meant the dreaded Penalty Shoot-Out would decide the championship.

A few misses, a few saves and a lot of praying (mostly by Mrs. Hudspith) the World Champions for 2006 are Rimu’s Room 15!!! Well done to R15’s Football wizards with interim coach Mrs. Wilson (taking over while Miss Delaney’s away). Congratulations to Nikau ‘A’ as well for a memorable fight to the end.

World Championship – SOFTBALL

This years final was an all Rimu affair. Last years beaten finalists Miss Delaney’s Room 15 (ex-Nikau’s Room 21) playing against Mr Kini’s Room 17.

The skills on display were surprising, lots of good pitching and some great hitting, but the fielding especially from Room 17 was exceptional. This probably proved the difference as Winners of the 3rd K.I.S World Championship were Mr Kini & Room 17

Congratulations to both Miss Delaney’s class, but especially to Mr Kini and his softballers.
